Expert Installation, Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance of 15MW Diesel Power Plant in Barbados
Project Overview
LTPSOL LLC was engaged by The Barbados Light & Power Company Limited to commission and service a 15 MW small Diesel Power Plant in Barbados. The project period was from June 2022 to December 2022, and involved six expert Technical personnel from LTPSOL LLC. The project was a success, and resulted in significant improvements in the stability and operational efficiency of the Power Plant.
The Involvement
LTPSOL LLC was responsible for installing 10 units of CAT XQ2000 3516 B Diesel Power Modules and 2 stand-by units, as well as conducting Plant Maintenance and Operational activities. Our team developed the “MRH” Monitoring Tracker and generated Weekly Reports on Maintenance Progress, and attended both Preventive and Corrective maintenance work and repair activities to ensure smooth operation of the Power Plant. Additionally, we performed CAT Top End Major maintenance activities and conducted trainings for the in-house staff on performing maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and utilizing technical approaches to minimize downtime.
Throughout the project, LTPSOL LLC also provided remote monitoring and support to ensure the continuous operation of the Power Plant. We identified and planned for the next upgrades for the plant in the next service run, which helped to improve the stability and operational efficiency of the Power Plant.
Successful Implementation
The commissioning and servicing of the 15 MW Small Diesel Power Plant in Barbados was a success, thanks to the expertise and dedication of the LTPSOL LLC team. We are proud to have contributed to the smooth and continuous operation of the Power Plant, and look forward to the opportunity to work with The Barbados Light & Power Company again in the future year 2023.
